Tissot T-Sport PRS 516 Mens Stainless Steel Black Retrograde Chronograph Watch #T91148851

Excellent Watch - Classy & Sporty at the sae time!5

Just bought this watch. This watch is definitely one of the top watches I've owned and holds its own against my Omega Seamaster & Tag Heuer watches. I bought this mainly because I found the retro dial interesting and didn't have any watch with Black and Yellow sporty combination.

And this watch hasn't disappointed me one bit. The look and feel is very classy love the retrogade chrono function. Overall a great buy!

My only regret is I bought from officiail Tissot Dealer for $425 - and not Amazon.

P.S - The watch also comes with a great box. An excellent buy even for $425!More detail ...

Citizen Men's Eco-Drive Two-Tone Stainless Steel Watch #BM1134-50L

Great watch...very pleased.5

I have been very pleased with this watch. It looks great with nice fit and finish and is of a reasonable size and weight. It is not unusually large like some of the massive dive watches (e.g. Casio "Orange Monster") nor is it too small to be masculine. It's large enough and sufficiently well-styled such that it gets compliments -- without being gaudy. It's not lightweight such that it feels "cheap" in any way but it's not so heavy to be annoying.

The watch required little effort out of the box. I put it in the sun for a few minutes to give it a little charge set the time and date and removed a couple of links in the band (I use the smallest size eyeglass screwdriver but a tool for removing these pins sells for about $15). Within ten minutes all done...and it has kept perfect time ever since. Within the first day or two I also set left it in a bright location on a dressor for a few hours. Fully charged this watch retains enough power to run in darkness for six months so you never have to worry about it stopping (as you do with an Automatic). I've owned a Casio and a Pulsar solar watch previously and I'm sold on light-powered watches.

As an aside: This watch doesn't have synchonization with the atomic clock a feature of the Casio Waveceptor series but the overall quality and "feel" of the Citizen Eco-Drive is MUCH better than the solar Casio in my opinion. And since it keeps excellent time atomic clock "synching" is more of a marketing gimmick than anything else. (After all how much precision do you really need)? In any case if you want to combine solar power atomic clock synchronization AND very high quality workmanship you need to look at Oceanus watches -- but those will run you $400-$600 at this point.

Back to the Citizen I find this to be an excellent watch at its pricepoint. If you want to move into the $200+ range Citizen also offers Eco-Drive watches in titanium and various other styles that are larger or otherwise fancier than this model. However in the $100-$125 range this is a fantastic reliable watch that can be worn with casual or business attire. This particular model features prominent gold numbers at the 12 6 and 9 positions. Some people prefer "hash marks" and no numbers but I find that the numbers make it very easy to glance down and immediately read the time. The band latch is of good quality. About the only feature it lacks is a perpetual calendar. But because this model only displays the date -- not the month -- such a feature probably isn't practical. But because the watch has a specific crown position for setting the date separate from the time this is a very minor issue.More detail ...

ATTENTION: Seiko Citizen & Invicta Fans5

True watch lovers need to take a close look at this brand! I don't think there is a more rugged watch out there for the price. The guy who started the company is a former professional surfer and his watches are built to withstand the extraordinary demands of this sport.

I purchased this watch as a gift to myself last Christmas to replace a 20 year-old Seiko whose stem could no longer withstand the constant time changes associated with business travel. It arrive prior to the estimated delivery date and was expertly packaged and encased in a very distinctive presentation "box".

This is my everyday watch and I'm known to be rather rough on my watches. To date there are only a few minor scratches on the bracelet to report. Perhaps more importantly I continue to get a kick out of it every time I check the time. It is a large very heavy watch yet comfortable. The icing on the cake - you don't see these watches on every other wrist. In short I love this watch! More detail ...

Beautiful!5

The picture does not do this watch justice. The mother of pearl face is almost iridescent giving it hues of white silver pink and green in different light. Very good buy I'm thrilled.More detail ...

Invicta Men's II Collection Skeleton Mechanical Stainless Steel Watch #6622

Invicta II Men's Skeleton Watch 66224

After I found out about Amazon's correction of the title I got nervous about what I had purchased and began researching. My searches turned up absolutely nothing on this watch at which point I contacted Invicta. The lady I talked to told me this watch was not officially being released until January 2010 as it is part of their 2010 collection.

I received my watch and I am dissapointed it is not automatic but I do like it a lot and believe it is well worth the $130-$140 amazon is selling it for due to the workmanship and aesthetics of this piece. Agree with other posts about not being anywhere near worth the MSRP of $895 and the audibility of the ticking in quiet settings.More detail ...

Tissot Men's T-Touch Stainless Steel Watch #T33.1.588.51

Don't bother - get a Casio instead2

The advantages of this watch: "gee wow" touch screen heavy construction sapphire staus and prestige of the brand name.

The disadvantages:

* the digital display is often obscured by the analogue hands.

* the digital display is rudimentary - poor format for date digits only.

* no countdown timer.

The competition:

If you really want a watch that does all the things routinely expected of a digital watch plus temperature altitude and compass look at Casio and Suunto. They have several models that do it all with a clearer more easily read display plus extra features like recording temperature and altitude. And they are cheaper.

In summary the Tissot is for status but if you want a tool that will do the job get a Casio or Suunto.

I have had the Tissot for about 2 weeks. I will sell it and go back to my 15 year old Casio Alti-Thermo.More detail ...

Citizen Men's Eco-Drive Railroad Stainless Steel Watch #BM8180-54A

Great timepiece -- simple but rich in history !!5

Great watch that needs no battery. It's a Citizen !. I really love this watch for it has a simple look -- dark black Hindi-Arabic numbers on a white face. The red 24hrs markers and red arrow of the second-hand are real beauties!. The stainless steel is thin not clunky at all so it is not heavy but light. The shiny band is a fold overclapse (no double safety clapse -- as in the Citizen Promaster lines). The time keeping is punctually accurate to run the schedules of the metro(train) commuting.

"Railroad Approved" --Every time I look at the face of this watch I know I've own a piece of the history of the of Americana. Search on the internet to read more on "What is a railroad watch" ? You will find it'll take you back to Cleveland Ohio during the railroad boom in April 191891.

Thank you Amazon ! Proud to own this timepiece and its history behind. I will enjoy it for many years to come. Go Eco-drive!More detail ...

Fantastic value - gorgeous timepiece4

This is a beautiful watch for a great value. Gorgeous bracelet and deep blue faceplate. Crystal is nice and flat reducing glare.
Feedback from chrono buttons nice and solid.

Minor qualms;
Topring does not rotate.
Chronograph only measures down to seconds - not 1/10 or 1/20 sec.

Bottom line - makes a great everyday sport watch and looks great with any dress-type. Value is unbeatable.More detail ...

Citizen Women's Eco-Drive Stainless Steel Watch

Great size5

This watch is exactly as it appears in the photo it shines and has no blemishes or scratches in the band. I am a petite woman very small wrists and small hands and have been looking for a moderately-sized watch. I was hesitant about ordering something I could not try on first but this watch manages to incorporate an updated and stylish look with a slimmer profile than many other the watches I have considered. It is not at all clunky and is easy to read and comfortable to wear. I haven't experienced any skin pinching or wrist hair grabbing! More detail ...

Citizen Doesn't Disappoint5

I just received this watch as a gift and have been very impressed in the few days I have owned it. The watch was very easy to set as the instructions were straight forward and each hand; chronograph hour minute second are true to the markings on the face. I own another watch from a different manufacturer in which the minute hand seems to fall just short of the marker when it changes from minute to minute. The imperfection in that watch is not enough to notice at a glance but I am picky about quality. The Citizen Men's Chronograph seems to have remained true to their history of quality. I am very impressed with the look and feel of this watch as well as the quality of movement. The face of the watch has a unique metallic-black look instead of matte black. Markers on the face as well as the hour and minute hands remain brightly lit at night after watch is placed near a lamp or bulb. One more thing I enjoyed was the weight of the watch. It is not as heavy as other watches I have owned but seems very sturdy and very well manufactured. I would recommend this watch and will continue to buy Citizen in the future with no hesitation.More detail ...

Citizen Men's Eco-Drive Exclusive Chronograph Stainless Steel Watch #AT0870-53L

Great watch for the money4

I am not one to spend a lot of money on luxury items however some things that you use every day can justify the added expense. I would love to buy a luxury watch as I do appreciate such things however I can't bring myself to spend the money at this point in my life. I purchased this watch after my Fossil broke and could not be happier with my purchase. Fossil watches look great for up to a year but the quality is not there. They are inexpensive look great but are not in for the long haul. The Citizen Eco-Drive ($200) I bought after 6 months has been great. The face has been very scratch resistant and the stainless case/band have held up as well. I often get compliments from my friends who own much more expensive watches. I shopped for a few months in stores and online for a new watch and am happy with my purchase. Hope this helps someone with their decision.

Invicta Women's Wildflower Collection Diamond Accented Stainless Steel Watch #6390

Invicta Womans Watch3

The watch face is very nice and appears to have a high quality construction. However the band is not very feminine and for a woman's watch I believe it missed the mark. It has been put into use and functions very well so overall I rate this product above average.

Additional Discussion:

The advertisement stated that a "free football" would also be included in the package but this did not occur. One other negative revolved around the packaging of the watch which arrived soiled and had to be cleaned before I gave the item as a gift.More detail ...

Citizen Men's Eco-Drive Nighthawk Stainless Steel Watch #BJ7000-52E

Eco-Friendly Watch That Calculates Fuel Consumption Speed Arrival time etc... 5

Sweet watch I've been wearing mine for 4 months.

I'm an Environmental Engineering Student and I also currently own an Omega Speedmaster ($2100 graduation gift long ago) and a Titanium Pro-Trek Casio Triple Sensor Watch (Compass Altimeter & Temperature $295.00) that I used for my previous job as an outdoors wilderness instructor.

Both those watches are extreme (the Casio being too rugged big and bulky the Omega being very freaking expensive) for everyday use and wanted something that suited my keen personality short budget and modern taste.

I never liked anything in terms of jewelry or watches from department stores or malls but when I walked into MACY's during Christmas shopping last december at the local mall I saw these Eco-Drive watches for the first time.

It has always been my opinion that Citizen makes very old fashioned timepieces yet the Nighthawk Eco-Drive is very different and far more classy than any other Citizen watch on the shelf. Some of the other newer Eco-Drive watches also look edgy and fresher. But the nighthawk captures a boldness with it's appearancethat is very timeless. Needless to say I tried it on and was sold.

The features are amazing apart from all the other "timekeeping-based and solar powered-based features you can read about everywhere else on the internet the Nighthawk also has a multi-functional Slide Rule. This is not really praised or mentioned anywhere else so I will tell you what it is what it does and why it makes owning this watch very cool!

With the slide rule you can calculate your car's fuel consumption average speed/velocity and the time you will arrive at your destination you can also multiply and divide numbers calculate ratio's into percentages integers and decimals covert liters to gallons pounds to kilograms as well as other metric conversions. The slide rule also performs a few more complicated calculations that involve airplanes and nautical vessels that are beyond my understanding.

At any rate these calculations can be done by simply rotating the NightHawk's bezel and matching specific arrows at certain points along the dial. (If you don't believe me you can download the Nighhawk's PDF manual and read up on it for yourself.)

In fact it is easier than using a calculator and clears up the big mystery of what people used before computers and electronic calculators were invented; they used the "Slide Rule".

Being a grad student I've read about the slide rules in a variety of classes but I never thought that I would own one on my next watch. I also would have never guessed that the slide rule is so efficient and easier to use than the graphics calculators we use in school.

The only negatives cocerning the Slide Rule feature on the NightHawk are the numbers on the slide rule dial are small and angled inwards so that they are tricky to read without tilting the watch around to get a good view of the numbers. Also the slide rule only approximates and produces whole numbers for some of the more advanced calculations.

Overall I found that the useful geek-features outdoorsman durability everyday comfort and eco-friendliness to be well synthesized in the classy steel body of the Nighthawk Eco-Drive.More detail ...
